How to activate DND/NPCR in Idea | Idea Do Not Disturb Registry

Do Not Disturb is a service to stop the Advertisement and promotional calls from the network provider. It is very common that we receive many such a calls, sometimes it irritates us too much. Keeping many phone users in mind TRAI has introduced a service called Do Not Disturb(DND), now it called as National Consumer Preference Register (NPCR).

Once your number gets registered in DND or NPCR,  you service provider Idea will not allow the advertiser to call you. Not only calls even SMS will also be stopped.In order to activate this service you need to follow some steps. Read this article to know how.

  • Just type "START 0" and send to 1909 (0 to stop all categories)

    7. Tourism

Here is how to deactivate DND, Follow the steps
  • Dial 1909, and select the Option De-register from the DND Service.
  • Just type "STOP 0 " to 1909.
